Intermediate Whitewater Course 4 Hour

Are you ready to dive deeper into the exciting world of kayaking? Join us for an intermediate skill class that’s designed to be fun, interactive, and perfect for building your confidence on the water to take your paddling to the next level.  Participants considering this class should be comfortable on class II whitewater prior to taking this course.  

Class Highlights:

  • Duration: 4 hours of fun and learning.

  • Location: Wildwood Outfitters 

  • Maximum: 8 participants

  • Minimum: 4 participants

  • Age: 8 and older (minors must bring an adult).

  • Price: $200 per participant

  • Paddle Essentials: Warm up exercises

  • Stroke Concepts: Master forward, turning, and draw strokes

  • Whitewater maneuvers: Ferries, eddy Catches, utilizing river features to maneuver 

  • Surfing: Front, side, and 360 spins

  • Safety essentials: Safe movement down river, hazard avoidance

  • Scenic paddle: Explore and learn about the beautiful natural environment we paddle in

What to Bring

  • Comfortable and weather appropriate non-cotton clothes.

  • Drytop/Drysuit/Wetsuit - weather dependant

  • Boating Gear - kayak, paddle, PFD, helmet, skirt

  • Safety Gear - rope, float bags

  • Shoes or sandals with straps or laces.

  • Sunscreen and a hat.

  • A water bottle to stay hydrated.

  • A towel and change of clothes for after class.
