Explorer Adventure Week

Join us for a 5-day kayaking adventure designed for young paddlers to build confidence, teamwork, and outdoor skills!

Each day begins with an 8 AM drop-off and ends with a 5:30 PM pick-up, packed with fun, learning, and exploration. Campers start at Don Carter State Park, where they’ll learn paddle techniques, kayak control, and safety before progressing to longer, guided paddles at Wildwood Outfitters. As the week unfolds, they’ll refine their strokes, practice navigation, and take on the Flooded Camp Challenge, a team-based adventure searching for hidden survival items along the river. The journey wraps up with an exciting Class II-III adventure on Section 3 of the Upper Chattahoochee River, where campers put their skills to the test on moving water while working together for a final, unforgettable challenge.

  • The Tributary Spud

    The Tributary SPUD is the perfect choice for paddlers of all ages and skill levels. Its compact size makes it easy for mini shredders and smaller-framed paddlers to handle, all while staying budget-friendly. Ideal for introducing newcomers to whitewater sports, the SPUD also excels as a dynamic and playful boat for more experienced paddlers.


  • Environmental Stewardship

    Beyond paddling skills, this program emphasizes environmental awareness and stewardship. Participants will learn about the local ecosystem, wildlife, and the importance of protecting our waterways. We also incorporate Leave No Trace principles, teaching kids how to minimize their impact on nature and develop a lifelong respect for the environment.

  • Comprehensive Youth Paddling Experience

    With expert instruction, small group supervision, and a strong focus on safety, skill-building, and environmental education, this program offers a unique and enriching experience for young paddlers. Participants will engage in hands-on learning, develop a deep respect for nature, and gain confidence on the water.

    Our expert guides are Level 4 Certified Whitewater Instructors, trained in Wilderness First Aid, CPR & AED, and Swiftwater Rescue (SWR), ensuring the highest level of safety and instruction throughout the week. We maintain a 1:3 instructor-to-child ratio, ensuring personalized coaching and close supervision at all times.

  • Georgia Canoeing Association

    Every participant in our Adventure Camp receives a one-year Georgia Canoe Association (GCA) membership! This means the fun doesn’t stop when camp ends—stay connected to the paddling community, access GCA events, and keep exploring the water all year long1
